Shamar Laster aka Blvck Slabb was born December 13th, 1989, in Delaware. At the age of 5 he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. By the young age of 12 he began writing poetry and at 13 found his passion for hip-hop, writing his first rap song. Most of his peers at the time compared him to Andre 3000. Between the years he honed his skills and craft with countless freestyle and writing sessions. At the Age of 17 after relocating to Oregon, he began to perform at various events and shows around the state. He joined a group called, “The Sik1’s” and with this new crew he began to flourish. At the age of 26 he won a competition and was able to do a tour of the DelMarVa tri-state as well as New York. He also closed for the Delaware Teen Idol competition/ showcase and was blessed to make front page of the Delaware News Journal with a full write up. He recently began a new journey signing to Paid To Breathe Syndicate, where he has been able to properly develop as an artist. 5 music videos, 1 EP, 1 Album and countless tracks and collaborations. Finally having a reliable team of individuals around him he is poised for the industry at large.
